What Is the Support at Home Program?

From 1 November 2025, the Australian Government will replace the former Home Care Package (HCP) system with the new Support at Home Program.

This reform aims to make aged care services:

Simpler and more transparent
Fairer and easier to manage
More flexible, allowing older people to receive the right support to live safely and independently at home

Under the new system:

The government sets a maximum of 10% that providers can charge for Care Management from your total funding.

Care Management Options with JOJO >

To give you flexibility and choice, JOJO offers two management options under the Support at Home Program, You can choose the level of involvement that best suits your needs and lifestyle.

Option 1: Self-Management

Best suited for:
Clients or families who prefer to choose their own service providers, or who already have trusted cleaners, carers, or therapists they wish to continue working with.

You can:

Select, contact, and schedule your own service providers (qualified subcontractors or independent workers)
Inform JOJO of your chosen providers and the services they will be delivering

JOJO will:

Register your chosen providers and ensure they meet all required safety, qualification, and quality standards
Support you with agreements, invoices, and payments
Process reimbursements and government claims on your behalf
Provide ongoing basic care management and assistance as needed

Pricing:
The final price you pay for services delivered by your chosen third-party providers will be:

The provider’s own service rate, plus up to 10% charged by JOJO to support the administration and safe delivery of third-party services.

This administration fee covers:

Verification of provider qualifications and compliance checks to ensure they meet worker obligations under the Aged Care Act
Incident management processes and quality assurance
Processing of invoices, payments, and claims related to the services you receive
Ongoing care coordination, communication, and record-keeping

Option 2: Full-Management

Best suited for:
Clients or families who prefer a simple, worry-free option.

JOJO will:

Work with you to create an individualised care plan (covering personal care, home help, rehabilitation, social support, etc.)
Arrange all services through JOJO’s team or trusted, qualified partners
Monitor service quality and safety
Provide regular updates and easy-to-read monthly statements

Pricing:

All services follow JOJO’s Price List.
A 10% care management fee will be deducted from your quarterly budget to our care management account.
